Occupational Health Safety Environment

Shriji Kraft’s team strongly believes that competitive advantages can be derived from Environment, Health and Safety programs and that the greatest opportunities exist in providing environmentally sound and safe environment to differentiate itself from competitors. In order to facilitate the integration of environmental, health and safety issues into the business activities, Shriji Kraft has developed an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Plan by which it embraces the challenges necessary to proactively manage environmental, health and safety issues and obligations.

We at Shrijikraft preach “Prevention is better than cure” hence give utmost importance to Environment, Health and Safety of everyone present at the work premises and to promote healthy environment at the site

Vision

As a responsible and reputed turnkey interior contractor, it is our endeavour to ensure there are no fatal/untoward incidences due to lack of safety measures. We strive to create an environment that is free from any accidents or injuries.

Management Responsibilities

The Management Team endorse and support the principles set forth in the Shriji Kraft Environmental, Health and Safety Management Plan. To implement this plan the following responsibilities have been assigned.

Director

Endorse and support the Environmental, Health and Safety Management Plan and communicate Shriji Kraft’s commitment to the Plan to all associates.

Emphasize to all Shriji Kraft associates that operating in an environmentally friendly and in a safe and healthful manner is an integral function of all operations. Provide necessary resources to implement the Environmental, Health and Safety Management Plan. Delegate responsibility to the Project Manager at each site for implementation of the Environmental, Health and Safety Management Plan.

Project Manager

  • • Responsible and accountable for all compliance activities at the site and a regular review of these activities.
  • • Communicate importance of EHS to all our sub-contractors present at the site
  • • Ensure that the safety program becomes an integral part of project planning incorporated in all operations
  • • Take necessary actions against staff repeatedly violating the EHS policies
  • • In partnership with the EHS manager, evaluate and implement new EHS techniques as per industry standards

Floor In charge

  • • Work in conjunction with the Project Manager and the EHS Manager to ensure all staff deputed at their respective locations are adhering to the EHS policy
  • • Carry out daily inspections at work place. Responsible to get House Keeping done at regular intervals at site to prevent any unsafe condition at site.
  • • Notify EHS Manager/EHS Officer in case of any unsafe working conditions at the site

 

EHS Manager

  • • Implement training programs as laid out by the Project Manager /EHS Manager
  • • Conduct planned and surprise safety audits
  • • Conduct TBT Talk along with EHS officers and Floor incharges for newly inducted workers
  • • Work with EHS Officer and Floor In-charges for identifying root cause of any safety issues
  • • Create Safety awareness by conducting demos to all staff present at the work premises
  • • Conduct mock safety drills at regular intervals
  • • Have emergency contact numbers for nearby hospitals, ambulances, doctors etc

EHS Officer

  • • Conduct induction training program for new workers
  • • Create safety awareness
  • • Providing adequate and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all employees and labours
  • • Work in conjunction with Floor In-charges to ensure that sub-contractors staff comply to the safety policies
  • • Ensure that the following is always available at site
  • • First Aid Kit
  • • Potable Drinking Water
  • • Personal Protective Equipment for different types of works
  • • Ensure that the new staff coming into the work premises have all the required documents for creation of work authorization at the site

Safety Rules

  • • Correct Personal Protective Equipment appropriate for the job being carried out must be worn always
  • Use of illegal drugs, alcohol or banned substances is not allowed at the site. Working when any of these is consumed is strictly prohibited

Use of colour coded vests and helmets for different categories of employees i.e. EHS Manager/Officer, Project Manager/Floor In-charges and Labour

  • • Water, Sand and Fire extinguishers are provided at multiple locations throughout the work premise
  • Do not pull the wire to remove the plug from the socket. Gently remove the plug from the socket
